Negative taken of the main building of Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas from the book "How I Succeeded In My Business" by Rev. A.H. Miller published in 1911. Arkansas Baptist College was founded in 1884 as the Minister's Institute by the Negro Baptist State Convention. The College opened its first session in November 1884, at the old Mount Zion Baptist Church, Ninth and Cross Streets in Little Rock. The name was changed to the Baptist Institute before becoming Arkansas Baptist College in 1885. The college relocated to High Street (now Martin Luther King Blvd.) between 16th and 17th in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
